READERS DIGEST: TWO SIDES OF ATTRACTION (SEASON 1)

Lola's Attraction:


She had already decided to let him off her mind and no doubt she is trying her best. Its just that her best doesn't seem to be enough. However, she had decided to ignore him completely this time around. The morning was the usual one, with car horns piercing the soft silence of the morning skin, trees fleeching their branches to share its breeze with the busy people all going helter skelter for who God knows what. Lola had to deal with this every Friday morning when she's set to go out for CDS ( community development service) she dreads the feeling and finds it daunting. It has not always been like this in the past; in fact few Fridays that have passed before this very one; Lola had enjoyed every bit of it and could not wait to be at the venue just to catch a glimpse of a guy, whom she likes passionately but could not in her wildest guts dare speak to him or worst even, tell him about how she feels. He was a normal every day average guy, with a ravishing smile, a radiant fair skin that seem to make him glow when amidst darker persons. His beard is carefully trimmed and when he smiles; the two hollow dimples on each side of his chin compliments  is handsome face. Lola, had always imagined her in a deep dialogue with him but its all but a reality. Going every Friday with the intentions to talk to him more, Lola's confidence always gets the best of her by failing her, and never did she actually get to talk to him. So the longest conversations she actually had him was on something very vague and general and it was even very brief and along side other coppers inclusive.
So as she stood by the side of the road that faithful Friday morning, she was ready to erase him of her mind and assume he was not existing. Perhaps, this will help the ache in her silence, plus the anguish of " why won't he just understand what I feel and just talk to me" this thought alone of him not taking action, makes her even more mad at him. So when Lola finally got a bus that morning to the CDS Venue, she had already concluded that she is done with him; even though she has never actually talke to him.

Josi's doubts


By 6 o'clock Josi had already woken up; there was nothing unusual for him that  morning except that it was a Friday and a CDS. He loves going to the CDS primarily because it takes him away from the demanding clutches of his uncle and because he also gets to meet people. Josi's two initial relationships had ended up badly, with both ladies consecutively breaking his heart. Since then Josi had been oblivious of the ladies around him and their ulterior motives. However, with all the heat of his past that had blurred his heart towards ladies, Josi seem to have a deep affection for a lady in his CDS group: Lola! Though Josi had never really talked to her before, he had always wished he could, but the fears in his heart stopped him severally. There where days when just the sight of Lola gives him joy and places him in high spirits; to him Lola would never even consider him or even want to talk with him because she's too pretty to want to deal with someone like him. Lola, is indeed beautiful; possessing a medium slender figure and carries a perfectly curved contours,the white parts of her eyes  compliments  the dark eyeballs giving it a piercing look. When she talks, the ease that accompanies the vocal articulacy in her voice is enough to create a soothing feeling in one.
That faithful morning, as Josi sat on the bus, on his way to the CDS, Venue he could only think of Lola and how to possibly get to talk to her. So, he is determined to talk to her, even if its to strike a conversation. But will his fears allow him? Will he conquer his doubts? What if he knew what Lola feels for him?
